"We were initially shocked to see somebody advertising the Indian Pond Terrapin on a marketing website. Even keeping it is illegal and amounts to violation of the IWA (International Water Association). However, we have manged to rescue the terrapin", C Krishna, manager, People for Animal (PFA) said.

Initially the accused Bobby placed Rs 1,000 as the price tag on the terrapin deal, but later when PFA volunteers approached him for buying it, he demanded more.
