No exchange of Eid wishes and sweets across LoC
Bangalore, Aug 9: Reports said that their was no exchange of wishes nor sweets on the occasion of Eid along side of Line of Control in Chakan da Bagh, Poonch district of Jammu Kashmir.
This happens in the wake of five Indian soldiers were killed while a sixth was injured when Pakistani troops ambushed an Indian army patrol across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district late Monday .
"Pakistani troops crossed the LoC in Chakan-da-Bagh sector of Poonch district on Aug 5. "They attacked the Indian post in Karmad village on the LoC killing five of our soldiers," a senior police officer said.
Later, the intruding soldiers withdrew back into the Pakistan side of the LOC," the official said.
Pakistan has been violating the bilateral ceasefire between India and Pakistan that came into force in 2003.
In January this year, two Indian soldiers were killed in Mendhar sector of the LoC and the Indian authorities accused the Pakistan Army of its direct involvement in the incident.
The killings threaten to cast a shadow on India-Pakistan's dialogues scheduled later this month.
