Girl cracks CET against all odds, dreams big now
In such a situation, studying and excelling has been a very difficult job for the young girl. Now enrolled in a medical college in Belgaum, she is happy for herself and her family of eight.
A resident of Ramakrishna Hegde Nagar in the city, her dream of serving the people came true when she got news of her CET rank of 1,513 and that she had earned a seat in an MBBS college in Belgaum.
"I always wanted to be a doctor, not to make money, but to serve the disadvantaged sections of the society. I had seen many people in our area suffering from various ailments. They are struggling to buy medicines and pay consultation fee. I want to serve such people free of cost after becoming a doctor," she told DNA.
With a little help from Christel House Learning Center, sky was the limit for this young student. Expressing her sincere gratitude toward the institute she says that it played a great role in grooming and preparing her for the exams. Founded in 2001, the institute helped her through the PU education too.
Raju Shahani, the managing director of Christel House Learning Center, says that Reshma was a very bright student and outshone others. That is when the institute decided to back her up financially and academically so that she could achieve her dreams.
