Outer Bangalore set to get new look!
According to TOI report, the newly-elected Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has planned to re-design the landscape of outer Bangalore, by devising a new master plan for the city.
Siddaramaiah has reportedly told the legislative council that a new Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) is required to check uncontrolled growth in outer Bangalore.
He said, "Draft of the master plan being prepared by Bangalore Metropolitan Region Development Authority (BMRDA) was ready but I have directed the authorities to rework on some zones. Very soon, the draft plan will be made public and invite objections before making it final."
Bangalore International Airport Planning Authority as well as planning authorities of Anekal, Magadi, Kanakapura, Hoskote, Nelamangala, Bangalore Metropolitan Region, Ramanagaram-Channapatna come under BMRDA.
The new master plan aims to provide a compact, balanced and equitable urban growth for Bangalore.
