The country was shocked when Mumbai Police arrested Srinivasan's son-in-law Meiyappan, who was known as the CEO of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Meiyappan, during his initial interrogation, told police that Vindoo lured him to place bets on IPL matches and he lost money in the recently concluded season of the league.
Meiyappan was arrested following Vindoo's statements. Vindoo, son of late Bollywood actor Dara Singh, was the winner of TV reality show Bigg Boss. He allegedly was in touch with many bookies and allegedly had supplied escorts to many cricketers.
