Hyderabad, May 27: With the latest order of Supreme Court, YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy can not apply for bail till CBI completes its investigation in disproportionate asset (DA) case. Fighting for his freedom, the star of the party completed one year in Chanchalguda Central Jail in Hyderabad on Monday, May 27.

The investigating agency Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Jagan on the same day in 2012. Terming Jagan's confinement in prison "undemocratic detention", YSR Congress leaders and workers were scheduled to hold protest march in the city.

It was reported that a two-day protest would be held in Hyderabad. Party workers and leaders would join a rally on Monday evening at Necklace Road in Hyderabad. Candlelight marches would also be held across Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, senior party leaders claimed that Jagan is one of the victims of politics. Congress and TDP have been accused of hatching conspiracy against the young YSR Congress supremo.

Jagan has been accused of getting huge investments from various individuals and firms into his businesses as quid-pro-quo for the favours granted by the then government headed by his father and chief minister (late) YS Rajasekhara Reddy.

Five charge-sheets have been filed by the CBI so far against Jagan and others. In its allegations, the CBI claimed Jagan and his late father hatched a conspiracy to defraud the state government, wherein Jagan influenced the senior Reddy in doling out certain favours to various stake-holders, who made investments of several crores into Jagan's businesses (at very high premium) as a quid-pro-quo.
