Karnataka results won't influence LS outcome: Pawar
Addressing a rally in Maharashtra's Satara, Pawar asked people not to jump to conclusions after witnessing a massive win of the Congress in Karnataka. He said the forthcoming elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are more important tests for the UPA. One election can not decide which way the wind will blow, the veteran politician said.
His party is a constituent of the UPA although the relation between the NCP and the Congress has seen strains in the recent past.
Both Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have BJP governments led by two popular chief ministers while Rajasthan has a Congress government. Delhi, ruled also by the Congress, will go the polls with the three states as well.
The Congress, however, differed with Pawar and said the Karnataka results are as important as those in the other three states that Pawar referred to in his address.
