‘Brave’ Bangalore blast victim in critical condition: Docs
Doctors have said her condition is critical. Rakshita was shifted from KC General Hospital, Malleswaram to MS Ramaiah Hospital, after she suffered breathing problems, informed a Doctor.
"She's probably suffering from Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) or pulmonary embolism," said Dr Aruna C Ramesh, head of department, accidents and emergency, MS Ramaiah Hospital.
"Her heart is okay but ARDS may be causing her trouble. It could be because of inhaling excess smoke or contracting secondary infections due to exposure to chemical and bacterial contamination."
But, Rakshita's father is confident that his daughter will fight back all odds and soon be fit.
"Rakshita is a brave girl," said her father, N Jayanna, an employee of a spice distribution company. "She wants to join the electronic media. She is also preparing for medical and engineering CET exams."
On the ill-fated Wednesday, Rakshita sustained injuries while she was on her way to attend coaching classes.
A total a 16 people sustained injuries. Rest are said to be recovering.
It was a normal day for Bangaloreans. As usual, office-goers, school and college students started their day on a ‘positive' note on April 17, 2013.
Little did the residents of India's tech-hub knew that ‘Wednesday' would turn out to be a day of terror and rumour which kept the entire city on its toes.
Around 10.30 am in Malleshwaram, located in north Bangalore a bomb went off just few metres away from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters.
