Bangalore, April 18: Malleshwaram has changed forever and the Wednesday's blast shattered its innocence. And the first person to send 110 characters to alert the changed world was Rajesh Padmar.

Rajesh Padmar was the first person to send the tweet about the Malleshwaram blast at 10.38 am, minutes after the incident, and then millions followed with their own brand of tweets.

Speaking to OneIndia News, Rajesh recalled the moment he heard the ear-shattering sound, that he had never heard before.

He was in Malleshwaram, teaching children, who are preparing for the CET (entrance test for professional courses).

The blast sent a plume of smoke and cries of the injured was thick in the air. When Rajesh realised that it was not a gas cylinder blast but something sinister, he sent his 110 characters over the Twiter handle @rajeshpadmar : Dummm.. Heard a big sound at Malleshwaram, Bangalore. Something went wrong, can see dark clouds at 11th Cross.

As the news spread, panic gripped the students. Rajesh called the parents of his students and assured them of their safety.

Rajesh feels that despite all the hi-tech policing, security at ground level still needs improvement. Bangaloreans are yet to get the feeling of being secure, said Rajesh.
