New Delhi, April 1: Congress heir apparent Rahul Gandhi has finally decided to get married. The 42-year-old, one of India's most talked about future Prime Minister who has recently expressed his desire not to get married and devote his life for the betterment of the country broke his vow to get himself rid off the bachelorhood tag.

Congress sources say that the party is hunting for a suitable match for their newly appointed vice-president. Congress is planning to put advertisements in popular matrimony sites to get the "best" bride for "Rahul baba".

However, a senior Congress leader on condition of anonymity said that Rahul has already choosen his bride and ensured that she is not of "Italian" origin.

"Yes, she is an Indian and perfect match for Rahul," informed the Congress leader, denying to divulge further information.

When asked what led to Rahul's change of heart, Congress sources say, "it was a party's decision that Rahul should get married."

Congress leaders say Rahul should get married to continue the "dynastic politics" of Congress.

"Yes, after Rahul, we are planning to make his son India's Prime Minister in 2040," said a Congress leader.

Recently, Rahul said he did not want to get married.

"If I get married and have children, then I will become a status quoist and will be concerned about bequeathing my position to my children," he said.

The news of Rahul getting married has broken the hearts of many men in India.

"How could he (Rahul Gandhi) get married and ruin the life of a woman," said a bank executive, working in a private bank in Bangalore.

However, it the Indian media which has been hit the most by the news. In fact, most of the journalists in any Rahul Gandhi press conference could be seen asking the "most eligible bachelor" about his marriage plans.

And, the "pink" faced Rahul would always try to avoid the question.

But, opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expressed happiness at Rahul's latest decision.

"Rahul can be a better husband, than a Prime Minister. Now, he should take sanyas (retirement) from politics," reacted a senior BJP leader at Rahul's decision.

NOTE: On April Fool's day, OneIndia News tried to look at how the whole nation would react at the news if Rahul Gandhi decides to get married in future.
