Indian Boxer Vijender Singh took drug, reveals Ram Singh
"We had taken very small quantity of drugs, less than two gm each. But we are not habitual takers of drugs and had tried it just for adventure. We did not intend to improve our stamina or performance by taking it," said Ram Singh who has been expelled in connection with recovery of 26 kg of heroin worth Rs 130 crore in Punjab.
However, the Indian boxing star Vijender Singh overruled all allegations against him saying, I have nothing to do with drugs. I am ready to join investigations at any point of time and am also ready to undergo any kind of dope test."
According to sources, Vijender and Ram Singh are good friends and were roommates at NIS for nearly six years. The former also had allegedly promoted the latter in various platforms by using his influence.
Speaking about Vijender's alleged links to drug racket, Ram Singh said, "Vijender was in touch with some Mumbai celebrities, who were regular in rave parties and took drugs. Therefore we also tried it. However, we did not pay anything to Kahlon for drugs."
Anoop Singh Kahlon is the main accused who has been arrested regarding the massive drug haul. Vijender Singh soon will be summoned and be questioned regarding the case. According to Ram Singh, Vijender Singh was in constant touch with Kahlon.
