Prabhakaran's son killed brutally; Jaya slams Sri Lanka
Addressing the press, the CM said, "I call upon the Central government to work with other nations and draft a resolution to be passed in UN. We want the government to ensure that all involved in war crimes in Sri Lanka be tried in International Court."
"It's an inhumane act. He (Prabhakaran's son) was just a child," added Jayalalithaa while commenting on the recent photographs which were published by the Channel 4 in UK. The images were part of a documentary calledNo War Zone: The Killing Fields of Sri Lanka.
The documentary will be screened at United Nation's Human Rights Council meet in Geneva in Mar 2013. The photographs showed how 12-year-old son of LTTE chief Prabhakaran was killed in a taint operated by Sri Lankan army.
In a column of The Hindu, the director of the Channel 4 documentary, Callum Macrae wrote, "The new photographs are particularly important evidentially, because they prove that Balachandran was not killed in crossfire, or in a battle. His death was deliberate and calculated."
"The pictures fill in chilling details on the circumstances of his murder - and leave the Sri Lankan government with yet more questions to answer about just how systematic the executions at the end of the war appear to have been," he added.
