Ahmedabad, Dec 20: Narendra Modi created a niche for himself in the history of Gujarat politics after winning the assembly election of the state for third consecutive time.
The results are expected to be declared officially by Thursday evening. However, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers began to celebrate Modi's victory outside his residence in Gandhinagar.
Janta Party president Subramanian Swamy congratulates Narendra Modi on his victory in Gujarat polls. BJP leader Tarun Vijay termed Modi as the greatest BJP leader after Atal Bihari Vajpayee. "He can achieve the impossible through the development mantra," he said.
Modi, who had distributed sweets among BJP workers, went to meet his mother before addressing supporters at the state BJP office in Ahmedabad on Thursday.
