Narendra Modi's 3D avatar irks Oppn, costs Rs 216 crore?
However, his new avatar seems to have irked the opposition leaders who tried to malign his images after accusing him of using the money which was accumulated through "Dhan Sangrah" campaign conducted by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Gujarat Parivartan Party (GPP)-led by former Gujarat Chief Minister and estranged BJP leader Keshubhai Patel on Sunday claimed that each public meeting held by Modi cost Rs 54 crore which means the total cost of Modi's 3D meeting is Rs 216 crore.
Addressing a crowd at a public gathering, Keshubhai Patel said, "For all problems of Gujarat, Modi alone is responsible and we should throw him out of power. When results are out on Dec 20, the tsunami of people's anger will wash away the BJP."
However, snubbing opposition party leaders' criticisms, Modi launched his hi-tech election poll campaign in Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot and Vadodara.
The Gujarat CM spoke from a studio in Gandhinagar and people in other four cities attended the meetings with the help of 3D holographic technology and satellite link-ups.
"You are witnessing a unique and first-ever incident," said Modi while addressing the crowd where BJP MP and former cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, Modi's close aide Amit Shah were also present.
