New Delhi, Nov 2: Members of India Against Corruption (IAC) today revealed evidence to buttress their point that the protester who raised slogans against Arvind Kejriwal at a press conference here on Oct 31 was a Congress supporter and not an ordinary man.

Releasing quite a few photographs which show Jagadish Sharma in the company of the ruling party's chief Sonia Gandhi and her son-in-law Robert Vadra, IAC noted that "in such circumstances, any attack on IAC activists would have to be presumed to be at the behest of the Congress if unless the contrary is proved."

Earlier too, the IAC had alleged that "goons hired by Congress" were trying to disrupt its agitations.

At the press conference two days ago, Kejriwal and another IAC leader Prashant Bhushan had put out documents which they said were proof of the Centre colluding with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).

Pressing for cancellation of RIL gas deal, the duo wanted to know "What is the rationale of the govt for handing our natural resources like coal, iron & bauxite which belong to people to corporates?"

Kejriwal and Bhushan stressed that "The time has come for the people of this country to reclaim their resources." Accusing the Ambanis of acting like "mafia dons", Bhushan rued, "Corporate mafia is like a Frankenstein's monster that sits on top of our country."

He said that "Reliance fixing oil prices is same as DLF and Vadra fixing land prices. Crony capitalists are greasing palms of politicians."

Kejriwal claimed that Reliance often interferes in ministerial appointments and pointed out that "Jaipal Reddy and Mani Shankar Aiyar were both removed and were replaced with (Veerappa) Moily to increase gas prices."

Wondering why the government gives favours to Reliance, Kejriwal quipped that the company must have filled the pockets of some ministers.

"RIL was supposed to supply gas at $4.25 per unit for 17 yrs. Within two years, they started asking for revision of this rate," he added.
