Woman enters high-secure ISRO using fake ID card; arrested
Recently computer engineers, scientists and doctors have been arrested for planning terror attacks. Earlier, only the not so well-off sections were lured into the dark world of terrorism for monetary gains.
Last week, a woman named Buela M Sam was nabbed from Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) headquarters here for posing as a space scientist. On Sept 21, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) took the 40-year-old into custody from the ISRO guest house at Jeevan Beemanagar in Bangalore.
Reports say that Jula has been living in the ISRO guest house with the fake ID ever since the night of Sept19. The woman's husband, a high school teacher in Kerala, told investigators that she was mentally unstable. This was revealed by Bangalore Police Commissioner Jyoti Prakash.
After CISF handed her over to the Bangalore Police, she was produced before a magistrate who sent her to judicial custody till Oct 6.
The space research organisation has been in the news as it is gearing to launch PSLV 10 soon.
A few weeks ago, the Defence Research Development Organisation (DRDO) was in the news following the arrest of a scientist for his alleged links with banned terror outfits like the Lashkar-e-Toiba and Harkat-ul-Jihad-al-Islami (HUJI).
