New Delhi, Mar 17: With former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati receiving a huge setback following the stunning defeat in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, her hurt is set to be multiplied many times over after the Opposition Samajwadi party (SP) is back at the helm of affairs.

Days after the SP grabbed power in the state and Akhilesh Yadav was made the new CM of the state, things are turning difficult for Mayawati when her security cover was reduced considerably. The UP government has reportedly withdrawn as many as 400 security branch personnel and security cars including escort and pilots that was put in place towards the security of Mayawati.

However, Mayawati will be provided with a Z plus security similar to all the former CM's.

Meanwhile, Maywati is meeting all BSP MLAs and MPs on Saturday to discuss the circumstances behind the poll debacle. On Sunday, she will meet up with office bearers and zonal coordinators.

Sources have revealed that Mayawati is eying a Rajya Sabha seat for herself as well as for her retired close aide Shashank Shekhar Singh. The polls for the Rajya Sabha seat is on Mar 30, with the nominations for the same to be held in the next few days.

The BSP has around 80 MLAs in UP, thereby qualifying Mayawati to send two MPs to Rajya Sabha.
