Sonia Gandhi's home to become butcher house for Cong mins?

Sonia Gandhi
New Delhi, Mar 9: A delegation of top Congress leaders led by Rita Bahuguna Joshi reached New Delhi on Friday, Mar 9 to discuss the reason behind the poll debacle in Uttar Pradesh and also in other states. According to sources, the UP Congress chief met Mrs Sonia Gandhi and offered to resign after accepting the responsibility over the shameful defeat in the state.

Mrs Gandhi's house may become a butcher house for many top Congress leaders and ministers as sources reported that several big heads could roll soon as Mrs Gandhi wants to fix accountability.

Decision of Mrs Gandhi over Rita Bahuguna Joshi's offer to resign is yet to be revealed but sources confirmed that many more top Congress leaders soon will follow Mrs Joshi.

Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh has already offered his resignation and now Mrs Joshi's offer clearly shows the devastating situation persisting in the Congress party following the election results in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and in Goa where Congress failed to woo the voters.

Despite Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi's tremendous effort during the election campaigning in Uttar Pradesh, the young and charismatic leaders of the party - Rahul failed in the race and another young face of Samajwadi Party - Akhilesh Yadav bagged the crown.
