Travel Bangalore to Mysore in 30 minutes, Metro on its way!
According to the Times of India, DMRC recently sent a letter to Karnataka Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda expressing their wish to do a feasibility study for a High Speed Rail Link (HSRL) from Bangalore to Mysore.
The Centre and Railway Ministry also showed their interest to make the project possible and a detailed project report is already being readied, says the letter.
"An HSRL is eminently justified between Mysore and Bangalore, keeping in mind the travel pattern and growing need of travel between these two cities. The corridor of 110km can be covered in less than 30 minutes non-stop, with a speed potential of 350km per hour," said the principal adviser to DMRC in his letter.
According to sources, the project will be completed within four months and it will cost the Gowda government Rs 50 lakh. Here it can be mentioned that another feasibility study for an HSRL between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod has already been started. This project will cover a distance of 560km in less than three hours.
