13/7 blasts:Osama trained terrorists in Pak to attack Mumbai

Mumbai, Feb 8: Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) on Wednesday, Feb 8 surprised all with a stunning statement which said that one of the main terrorists, who allegedly was behind Mumbai 13/7 serial blasts, had undergone training from slain al-Qaeda chief - Osama bin Laden.

According to ATS, Haroon Rashid Naik Sheikh received training from Osama in Bahawalpur, Pakistan in Aug 2001. Sheikh has been accused of funding Mumbai serial blasts which shattered Zaveri Bazar, Opera House and Dadar on the eve of Jul 13, 2011.

Osama was one of the instructors who gave training to Sheikh for 40 days in Pakistan. Sheikh was trained on how to execute terror attacks, ATS sources informed.

Meanwhile, ATS officials also informed that they, during investigation, came to know that Sheikh had met one of the prime suspects of 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks in 2008 - Zaki-ur-Rehman-Lakhvi.

Earlier, officials of ATS had arrested two of the Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorists who are believed to have executed the 13/7 Mumbai serial blasts which claimed the lives of 27 people and left more than 100 injured.
