Google 'verifies' Facebook CEO Zuckerberg's G+ profile!
The alleged Mark Zuckerberg Google+ account came to limelight two days after the announcement of Google Plus. This account spread virally and G+ users added it into their Circles. And what's more, Zuckerberg became the most followed person in Google+, surpassing Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin!
With the introduction of 'Verification Badges', Google started verifying G+ accounts, initially with public figures, celebrities, and people who have been added to a large number of Circles. Being the most popular person in Google Plus, Google posted a 'Verification Badge' for Mark Zuckerberg, but didn't give any details about its credibility.
It's interesting to see Mark Zuckerberg has more than 476,952 followers, which is double than Google CEO Larry Page with 283,911 followers and ironically the second most popular person in G+. The other Google founder Sergey Brin stands at third spot with 191,537, followed by technology blog Mashable's founder Pete Cashmore with 163,145.
Google said that the 'Verification Badges' will help users to make sure the person they're adding to their Circles is really who they claim to be. But, in case of Mark Zuckerberg, even Google does not have any idea whether it's their rival's founder or not. Moreover, even nearly two months after creating account his account, Zuckerberg remains silent. There are no messages or posts in his profile, but changed his photo recently. What do you think, is it Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg?
