Gmail multiple hone calls
New York, Jul 25: The internet search giant Google has announced the launch of multiple phone calls service on its Gmail service. Now, users can make or receive multiple calls in Gmail along with the other services like voice and video calls to other computers.

"If you"re in a call and make a second one, your first call will be put on hold while you talk on your new call. You can switch between calls by pressing the 'Resume' button on the call you want to talk on, which will automatically put the previous call on hold," Google said in its Gmail blog.

If you are attending one call, you will receive a notification of the new incoming call and can choose to accept it or not. If you take the new call, the previous call will be put on hold.

Moreover, with the new feature, user can put any call on hold by pressing the 'Hold' button and then click 'Resume' to start talking again.

This feature works across all call types - voice, video, and phone - but, the only restriction is that a maximum of two outgoing calls to physical phones can be placed at once.

Google, which recently announced the launch of its new social networking site Google Plus, also introduced a new look to Gmail. Also, it added new options to let users choose an inbox layout that best suits their email habits.

Gmail has also started keeping users safer by displaying more information about the origin of certain messages. Email coming from senders who aren't in users' contact list will display the sender"s full email address.

Gmail will also show when messages come from an email-sending service (like a news site"s article sharing system) and display a warning when it looks like the sender may have spoofed a Gmail address.
