Google Chrome gains over Microsoft IE

New York, May 3: According to a latest marker research survey, Google's internet browser, Chrome, is gaining more popularity than Microsoft's Internet Explorer. The survey conducted in the month of Apr 2011 revealed that Google Chrome managed to grow up 0.4 percent in Mar, while Internet Explorer slides to 55.1 per cent from 55.9 per cent in Mar.

According to the latest survey conducted by Net Applications in the web browser market, Microsoft's IE continues to dominate the market with more than 55.1 per cent share, but instantly loses its popularity despite of IE 9 launch. Meanwhile, Google"s Chrome web browser's share increased from 11.5 per cent in Mar 2011 to 11.9 per in Apr.

Mozilla's Firefox web browser bagged the second spot with 21.6 percent, but dropped 0.2 per cent from 21.8 per cent in Mar. It seems like, most of the users are opting for Google Chrome 11, which supports HTML voice input and services like voice to text conversion using Google Translate, than recently launched Firefox 4 and IE9.

Apple's Safari web browser increased its market share to 7.1 percent from 6.6 percent in Mar. The latest survey will boost the web browser majors to make their products more innovative and updated. Finally, the ultimate winner will be the users.
