Lenovo LePad tablet soon in India: Specs & Review
Lenovo showcased LePad tablet along with its IdeaPad UI during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2011) in Las Vegas. The IdeaPad UI changes this tablet in to a netbook and offers all the features of a laptop. This tablet would be suitable for both business and personal uses. The lightweight design makes it portable and IdeaPad UI provides all the business class features.
Lenovo LePad has a 10.1-inch touch screen with 1280 x 800 pixels and is powered by a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. This new tablet will run on the Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, but is expected to get a Android 3.0 Honeycomb update.
Other features include a 1 GB RAM and 16 or 32 GB of internal flash memory. Lenovo LePad also offers a 2MP front-facing camera for video calling. The IdeaPad UI would be powered by a 1.2GHz Intel Core i5-540UM and will run Windows 7.
Lenovo has not yet announced the official price and the release date of IdeaPad UI and LePad. Some sources reported that LePad will hit the Chinese market by Mar 2011 with a price tag of $520. The LePad with IdeaPad U1 will cost around $1,300.
The price of LePad in India would be between Rs 18,000 - 20,000. Stay tuned for more updates.
