George W Bush
Washington, Feb 7: George W Bush, Former President of the United States of America is not known for his exemplar governance or his excellent foreign policy. Clearly not the best President the US has seen, the past is back to haunt Bush this time around.

The fact was brought out when Bush had to cancel his trip to Europe, his first official trip after leaving the confines of the White House. The reason being that a human rights groups had lodged a complaint with the Swiss court accusing him of failing to meet international law forbidding torture.

The evidence of torture was based on Bush' own submission in his memoir 'Decision Points' that claimed that he had given the go-ahead for the waterboarding of terror suspects held by the CIA. Amnesty International is believed to have sent prosecutors "a detailed factual and legal analysis of President Bush's criminal responsibility for acts of torture" and concluded "that Switzerland had enough information to open a criminal investigation".

The Centre for Constitutional Rights have registered the complaint considering the cases of two terror suspects, Majid Khan and Sami al-Hajj who were being held at the Guantanamo Bay. The 2500-page complaint under the Convention Against Torture, is to be released today (Feb 7) in Switzerland.

Bush was scheduled to speak at Geneva on Feb 12 at a charity gala dinner for the 'United Israel' appeal. The event stands cancelled over fears that Bush might have to face arrest when he lands in Europe.
