Andhra Pradesh to stop distance education PhDs
At meeting of vice-chancellors of universities in the state, the AP Higher Education Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha instructed that admissions to PhDs should not be done through distance education system.
The meeting also decided to hold all examinations to the Osmania University students and reminded them that sufficient time was given to prepare for the exams.
The VCs at the meeting requisitioned the Minister to give 30 per cent hike in the grants to universities.
The meeting decided to fill all teaching posts in Andhra University.
