CAT-IIM 2010 results are out

New Delhi, Jan 12: Yes, finally the CAT is out of the bag. After many controversies and a results leak scare, the Common Admission Test (CAT) results 2010 is out officially. The stepping stone to a career in management, belling the CAT is one of the prime requisites for the thousands of management aspirants in India.

The result can be accessed on the IIM website. The highly anticipated results of CAT 2010 will be the passport for a great career for many. A toll free number has been put in place for students facing a technical glitch or other issues when accessing their results. The toll free number is 1-800-103-9293 for telephonic inquiries.

The CAT 2010 is the second year that the tests have been conducted online.

The results have been flooding the internet and candidates are frantically searching for the fate of their results. An estimated 8 people have scored a 100 percentage in the admission test and another 19 candidates scored 99.99 pct missing the cent percentage by a hairline.

Maharashtra grabbed the top spot with two toppers from Mumbai and one from Pune. The states of Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata and Indore have one topper each in the 100 percent category. Also, this time around women seem to have broken the glass ceiling and has bagged 99.9 percentile in the CAT exams. The two women are from Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

Tests have been conducted to gain admission to 11 Indian Institutes of Management and over 150 B-schools this year. Over 1.86 lakh students gave the CAT exams this year that was held between Oct 27 and Nov 24.
