Hyderabad, Jan 7: The Reddy brothers political alliance and the mining business seem to be facing a road block. This might be yet another setback to the ruling BJP government in Karnataka and to Yeddyurappa.

A report by the Centrally Empowered Committee (CEC) set up by the Supreme Court who are looking into the illegal mining controversies surrounding the Reddy brothers have not given good news to the Reddy's. They have found that the six mining companies, including Obalapuram Mining Company (OMC) have been running illegally and have recommended that the licenses be canceled immediately.

The committee also revealed that the mines owned by the Reddy's mined more iron ore than what was actually permitted in their lease. It also added that the OMC was liable to pay an "exemplary compensation" for mining in reserved forest areas.

Janardhan Reddy was however very vocal on the court decision and commented, "It's totally with a prejudiced mind, it is totally against us, When time comes I will tell the names of the politicians of this country who want to finish the steel industry and the Janardhana Reddy family."

The court have given a time frame of two weeks to file any objection against the report.
