New Delhi, Dec 16: Indian Prime Minister seem to be a 'wanted' man these days. This time around, there's a big difference, the 'wanted' tag is serious. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh , Home Minister P Chidambaram and TamilNadu Chief Minister are apparently on the LTTE hit list, according to Intelligence reports.

The banned terrorist outfit though in a sorry state now is planning a deadly attack to recoup their vengeance on the treatment meted out to them. With the Sri Lankan army wiping out a substantial number of LTTE members earlier in the year, the group is regrouping to announce to the world that they have arrived in the terrorism scene.

Intelligence warning says that Manmohan Singh and P Chidambaram might be attacked by LTTE supporters who have set up base in TamilNadu. TamilNadu has many LTTE well wishers who are ready to give them asylum .

In a statement given out to CNN-IBN, TamilNadu Director General of Police Letika Saran said, "Yes we got the message but message or no message we take all precautions for all VVIP's. This intelligence input from Central agencies is about a plan to attack the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of TamilNadu. This is about intentions. We are on high alert and all this time we are extra alert. But we have no information about regrouping of LTTE cadres".

With such a threat the LTTE wants to prove that they are still active and wants to vindicate themselves by targeting high-profile personnel. An unnamed official claimed, "Though LTTE is now a weak force and all top leaders were killed during the Sri Lankan army's assault, attempts to regroup by some cadres is a disturbing report."

Manmohan Singh is scheduled to visit TamilNadu in Jan 2011 for some public functions.
