Niira Radia's new tapes surface; hints to 2G scam
The newly taped conversation published by Outlook magazine clearly hints Radia's involvement in the 2G spectrum scam. The 800 new tapped conversations exposed the business tycoons and media persons involvement in regaining Telecom portfolio to DMK leader A Raja in the UPA-II government.
Radia's conversation with with Tarun Das, the former head of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), exposed that DMK supremo Karunanidhi insisted to get the Telecom portfolio for A Raja in the UPA-II Manmohan Singh's government.
"Karunanidhi wants Raja because he is a Dalit. The prime minister is only insistent that former shipping minister TR Baalu (charged of corruption in UPA-1) should not be in the cabinet," says Radia.
Earlier, media published Niira Radi'a taped conversation with media persons, Barkha Dutt, Vir Sanghvi and TATA chairman Ratan Tata. These tapes revealed secret hands behind 2G spectrum scam and lead to the deadlock of Parliament, which has been continued to 21st day.
Meanwhile, the government affidavit filed in SC against Ratan Tata's petition claimed that Finance Ministry had received complaints against Radia citing her links to foreign intelligence agencies.
