France supports India for UNSC seat: Sarkozy

Bangalore, Dec 4: French President Nicholos Sarkozy has told that India deserves a permanent seat in United Nations Security Council (UNSC).

Speaking at ISRO in Bangalore on Saturday, Dec 4, Sarkozy said that terror from Afghanistan and Pakistan is a major threat to the world. He described Pak-Afghanistan terror as a major key for the instability in the world.

During the speech, French President asked India not to fix nuclear liability on supplier. He added that always defended ideas to end India's nuclear isolation.

Earlier on the day, Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni arrived at Bangalore for four-day visit. It was the second visit to India during his tenure and the agenda includes signing of a mega nuclear deal, cooperation in areas of defence, culture and sustainable development.
