Tata DoCoMo launches 3G services
The services will be available on commercial basis from Diwali (Nov 5). Currently state owned BSNL and MTNL are offering 3g service in different parts of the country.
Tata DoCoMo will start the 3G service in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Punjab, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhatisgarh by Diwali.
“We have been able to complete the ramp-up of our network to support 3G services due to the superb 3G-ready network we created at the time of our 2G launch itself, last year," said, TTSL MD Anil Sardana.
“After nearly a decade of success in providing 3G service in Japan, we are delighted to have lent our technical to TTSL, our global partner. Going forward, NTT DoCoMo will continue to leverage its mobile expertise and value-added services in markets worldwide through collaboration with partners such as TTSL," said Ryuji Yamada, President and CEO of NTT DoCoMo.
The Tata DoCoMo's 3G service will provide ultra-fast internet, videoconferencing, unlimited downloads, live TV channels, video call etc.
