World powers back Israel's atomic weapons: Iran
The Iranian President also told that the Western powers have no other option but to talk with Iran.
Ahmadinejad's remarks came just ahead of Iran's talk with United States, Britain, China, France, Russia and Germany from Nov 15 to 18. It was his first comment since the dates for the negotiations between the six western countries and Iran were fixed.
"We said from the start that the best way is to talk to Iran. You don't have any other option. All other ways are blocked," said Ahmadinejad in an address broadcast live on state television.
Ahmadinejad insisted that the talks must be based on "mutual justice and respect" and the world powers must respect Tehran's pre-conditions. He asked the Western nations to express their views on Israel's atomic weapons.
"We would like to know your logical and lawful opinion. You may keep silent, but silence to us means that you are backing the Zionist regime's atom bombs and that you are not seeking friendship through talks," added Ahmadinejad.
The talks over Tehran's nuclear programme have been deadlocked since Oct 2009 when the two groups met in Geneva.
