After Kashmir spat, India happy with Pak's UN vote

In response to a question on how India viewed Pakistan's backing at the United Nations, the enovy told a news agency, “Of course it is of significance. It proves that those who are sceptical on India-Pakistan cooperation in the UN... it proves them wrong."
This came after the two Asian neighbours exchanged words over Kashmir. Congress MP Charan Das Mahant asserted that Kashmir was an integral part of India, Pakistani delegate Tahir Andrabi said no electoral exercise in Jammu Kashmir can substitute a “free and impartial plebiscite" mandated by Security Council resolutions.
However, stressing that India and Pakistan were only reiterating their longstanding positions, Puri said, "Yesterday what happened was not a spat."
"I"m not going to comment on Pakistan"s statement... India"s position is crystal clear... Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India... Jammu and Kashmir has periodic franchise through elections," he added.
