BS Yeddyurappa
Bangalore, Oct 6: BS Yeddyurappa, Karnataka chief minister, dropped four ministers from his cabinet, who were threatening the CM to bring down the government if their demands were not met.

The legislators are sericulture minister Venkataramanappa, agriculture marketing minister Shivaraj Thangadagi, muzrai minister D Sudhakar and women & child development minister P M Narendraswamy.

After dropping the minister, Yeddyurappa said that he will expand Cabinet with induction of five-six ministers, two-three senior ministers to quit.

CM also said if required he is ready to prove his strength in the Legislative Assembly.

On Tuesday, Oct 5, over 20 BJP MLAs including Excise Minister Renukacharya threatened the CM to bring down the government if their demands were not met. This new MLAs revolt against Yeddyurappa, has again created new trouble to the first BJP government in the state.

All the legislators, including those who were denied ministerial berths in the recent cabinet reshuffle, are currently in Chennai demanding the ouster of KIADS land scam-tainted IT and BT minister Katta Subramanya Naidu from the ministry.

The angry legislators are also questioning the rationale behind the recent induction of Shobha Karandlaje, V Somanna and Ramdas into the cabinet.

Their demands also include the re-induction of Goolihatti Shekar and Shivanagouda Naik into the cabinet.

Where as, the Yeddyurappa denies the crisis by saying, "there is no problem at all. They (the dissidents) are all coming back to my house late at night. I have spoken (to the dissidents) by telephone."

"The government is not facing any instability," said the State BJP chief, K S Eshwarappa and termed reports of such activities as “rumours." However, he admitted that some legislators who did not get ministerial berths were dissatisfied.
