Sreesanth to walk with blind to raise awareness

Bangalore, Sep 3: Cricketer Sreesanth will walk besides over two hundred visually challenged individuals on Sunday, Sep 5 as part of an eye donation awareness drive.

The walk specially organised for the causes of the blind and the visually challenged, Andharigaagi Padayatre, is being held on the occasion of 7th Anniversary Indian Disabled League (IDL) Foundation, a non-profit NGO.

The Padayatre will begin at 3 pm at Mathikere in Bangalore after DG and IGP Dr Ajay Kumar Singh, IPS, flags off the one kilometer walk.

MPs, MLAs, Corporators and other celebrities will also join the padayatre.

"We want to motivate and bring the special people to mainstream," said Mr PK PAUL, Founder & Executive Trustee of IDL Foundation.

Besides planning and organising the commendable initiative, IDL Foundation will also be gifting talking watches to all the participating visually challenged individuals.

The NGO has invited the visually challenged student community to take part in the event.
