Thousands join candlelight march for Leh victims
Thousands of people joined the condolence peace march which began from the petrol pump area at around 7 pm. The march, led by monks chanting lines from the holy scriptures, proceeded towards the main market.
Cluseau, a France national who was part of the march, said, "I heard about the march through a friend of mine. I came here to express my solidarity."
The flash floods, which were triggered off by a series of cloudbursts on Aug 5, have claimed at least 166 lives so far.
