Bangalore, May 14: If you think Karnataka's famous moral policing brigade, Sri Rama Sene, actually believes in saving and protecting the 'culture' of India think again, as a media expose has revealed the murky underbelly of the Pramod Muthalik-led party.

In a sting operation carried out by TV news channel, Headlines Today and Tehelka magazine, it was exposed that self-proclaimed protector of Indian culture Muthalik could be hired to spark off a riot or violence with a few bucks.

HT and Tehelka caught Muthalik on a hidden camera accepting money to hold riots. The operation was carried out with the help of a Tehelka reporter Push Sharma, who posed as a budding artist looking for quick publicity.

For the charge of Rs 60 lakhs, the Sene chief agreed to vandalise three art exhibitions in Karnataka and also offered to trigger riots in Muslim dominated areas of Bangalore and Mangalore.

Interestingly, Muthalik chose to keep himself away from the rent-a-riot operation as he had an image to keep up with.

Besides Muthalik, the reporter also approached Vasanth Kumar Bhavani, the president of Sene in Bangalore. VK Bhavani has also been accused of working for the underworld don Ravi Poojary.

Several other individuals such as Jitesh Kumar, state co-convener of the Sena and Prasad Attava were also caught on the hidden camera going about their business of accepting money in exchange for saffron vandalism.
