India denies role in Lahore twin blasts
New Delhi, Mar 13: 'Unequivocally' condemning the Lahore twin blasts, India has expressed disappointment over the repeated assertions of Pakistan that India was behind the suicide attack which killed at least 45 people and injured over 100 on Friday, Mar 13.
Pakistan should concentrate on dismantling the infrastructure of terrorism directed against India and adversely impacting on Pakistan itself, External Affairs Ministry said in a statement on Saturday, Mar 13.
“At the same time, the Government is deeply disappointed by statements emanating from Pakistan alleging an Indian hand in yesterday"s attacks in Lahore, and other terrorist acts and disturbances elsewhere in Pakistan.
“We categorically reject, once again, the allegations of India"s involvement in such acts or activities. The Government has reiterated on several occasions, and at the highest level, that India has no interest in destabilising Pakistan," it added.
The statement also pointed out that by repeatedly pinning the blame on India, Pakistan was further straining the Indo-Pak bilateral ties.
