Chicago, Jan 27: David Coleman Headley, Pakistani-American indicted for involvement in the Mumbai terror attacks will be arraigned in the Chicago court on Wednesday, Jan 27.

Headely will answer to the charges leveled against him before the U.S. Magistrate Judge Arlander Keys in the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.

Though Headley has been exempted from appearing before the court during the hearing, officials maintain that he must be present in the court for his arraignment.

Headley, who would be arraigned for the second time, pleaded not guilty to all charges against him in his first hearing on Dec 2009.

Co-accused Tahawwur Hussain Rana had also appeared in the same court on Jan 25 and pleaded not guilty to three counts of charges against him.

Both Headley and Rana were indicted by a federal grand jury on Jan 14 on charges of involvement in 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks and for planning terror attacks on Danish newspaper.

On Dec 7, 2009, a 12 count superseding indictment containing identical charges for both Rana and Headley were filed, under which Rana was charged on three counts which include material support of the terrorism plots in Denmark and India, as well as in support of terrorist group, all of which carried a penalty of life imprisonment.
