Two Indians brutally assaulted in Oz
Melbourne, Jan 26: In the latest attacks on Indians in Australia, two Indians were brutally assaulted on Monday, Jan 25, night by a group of people who passed comments on the duo, police said.
talking about the attack which took place at around 10:02 pm, police said that before pushing one of the Indians to the ground and kicking him, the attackers made crude comment about the duo.
Police added that the 18-year-old sustained severe injury on the left ear, suspected to be from an edged weapon and has been taken to St. Vincent's hospital.
The other 21-ear-old Indian, who was also punched to the ground suffered minor abrasions in the forearm, a news agency report said.
The attacks add to the list of fatal attacks on Indian over the past weeks in Australia, the most vulnerable of them being taxi drivers
On Jan 2010, a Indian student Nitin Garg was stabbed to death in a park in Yarraville in Melbourne.
