Maoist leader's body found in UP forest
Lucknow, Dec 4: Uttar Pradesh police have recovered the body of a Maoist leader from a forest and arrested two of his colleagues who said he was killed in a gang war.
44-year-old, Ramvriksh Kol's body was found on Thursday night, Dec 3, in the Amila forest in Sonbhadra district, about 250 km from here.
Police said that he was wanted in more than 30 criminal cases in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.
"He (Kol) died in the fight for supremacy among Naxalites (Maoists). His body was recovered from the Amila forest of the district," Sonbhadra district police chief Pritendra Pal Singh said.
He further said, two of his colleagues, Amarnath Kushwaha and Rakesh Mishra, who were arrested during the combing operation, said he had died in a gang war.
