Patna, Nov 2: Protesting against the 'police's failure' to find two abducted doctors, Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Monday, Nov 2 threatened to go an a strike in Bihar.

It has been over 48 hours since the doctors were abducted from the Samastipur district. And despite having detained two suspected people involved in the abduction the police has not made any breakthroughs in the case, said an official in Samastipur.

The two doctors identified as AK Sahay and Santosh Kumar were working at a nursing home located in a village when they were allegedly abducted on Saturday, Oct 31 evening.

The police launched a hunt after the doctors' motorcycles were recovered and investigations have begun in the case, the Samastipur official added.

"A special police team has been constituted to look into the case," Deputy Inspector General (Darbhanga range) Baldeo Prasad was quoted as saying in a news report.

The families of the doctors believe that they were abducted over a property dispute.
