Bangalore, Nov 2: Soon after reports that many of the rebel MLAs from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were holed up in resorts and hotels while thousands of people still reel under the after effects of the recent flash floods, Karnataka Chief Minister, BS Yeddyurappa apologised to the people.

"In the backdrop of the happenings, as Chief Minister, I apologise to the people of the state. We will take care to see such incidents don't take place in future and will work unitedly for the people's welfare," BSY said on Monday, Nov 2.

Amid the revolt led by the Reddy brothers in an effort to throne the Chief Minister, many of the MLAs from flood-hit areas in North Karnataka are camped in Hyderabad and Goa.

Instead of looking into the people's grieveneces, the MLAs to are on the side of the rebel ministers from Bellary district - G Karunakara Reddy, G Janardhana Reddy and B Sreeramulu are busy with dissident activities, earlier reports said prompting the Chief Minister into the present damage control mode.

BSY has also rubbished reports of alleged involvement of the senior BJP leader H N Ananth Kumar in the political crisis and 'hatching conspiracy with the Reddy brothers.

Expressing confidence that the political crisis will be resolved soon, the Chief Minister promised the leaders will 'unitedly' work towards the relief of the flood-hit regions and the state's development.
