Pune reports 57th H1N1 death
Pune, Sep 22; Even as the city received its first batch of the Tamiflu tablets for retail sale, the H1N1 virus claimed another life in Pune taking the city's death toll to 57.
46-year-old, Ambadas Shivratri succumbed to Swine Flu at a private hospital on Monday, Sep 21 night.
The Health Ministry has made the Swine Flu medicine available in open market under Schedule X of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Act.
A drug under this category can only be obtained through double prescription, one for patient and one for chemist. This step has been taken to avoid the misuse of the anti-viral drug.
