Jaipur, Aug 17: Former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje on Monday, Aug 17 said that she will not step down as Opposition state assembly's leader, Times Now report said.

According to the report, Raje's supporters also insisted that she will stay in the post till next assembly elections.

On Sunday, Aug 16, BJP's party parliamentary board had put off a decision on the former CM quitting as leader of Opposition in the assembly.

BJP leader Vasundhara Raje on Sunday, Aug 16 seemed to be softening her stand on her battle with party chief Rajnath Singh.

She had said, "I have neither made any adverse comments nor any statement against BJP or its leaders or thought of floating any party."

Raje said, "The party, whose founder was my mother, the party which was nurtured by her blood and sweat to strengthen it and her life's every moment was spent for the party's interest and ideological thought, for that mother-like BJP, manipulated and untrue statements are being attributed to me. I am hurt by it... In politics I have my mother as my ideal."
