New Delhi, Aug 3: National Commission for the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes Chairman Buta Singh on Monday, Aug 3 said that he will cooperate with the CBI in the investigation into the alleged bribery case against his son.

He also insisted that there was a 'political conspiracy' against him and he will come out with the names of the conspirators at an 'appropriate time'.

Speaking to reporters at his residence, he said, "I am ready to cooperate with the CBI under the proper procedure."

"I have not blamed CBI. I am only doubting the manner the agency has adopted (in the case). Ram Rao Patil had been an absconder, wanted by police and court. I am surprised, how CBI could track him down when local police failed in doing so," Singh said.

"I have a question that when he (Rao) came in hands of such a competent legal authority, why CBI did not hand him over to police or court where he was wanted first," Singh added.
