No FIR filed in Kalam frisking case: Police
New Delhi, Jul 26: The Delhi Police on Saturday, Jul 25 said that no FIR has been filed against Continental Airlines for frisking former president APJ Abdul Kalam.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Satyendra Garg said, "We have registered a complaint into the matter but a case is yet to be registered."
Earlier, the government had claimed that an FIR had been registered by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) at the IGI Airport police station against staff of the Continental Airlines.
But a police official said they were "looking at options how to tackle the issue. There is no registered case right now."
The frisking of the former president that violates Indian laws created an uproar in Parliament when political leaders cutting across party lines had criticised the carrier.
