Lahore, June 25 (ANI): If one sees Pakistan parliamentary secretaries not performing their duties, blame their official cars for the slack work, as officials of the Punjab Assembly have asked the government to provide them brand new cars, because the old vehicles that they have been provided are hindering their work.

The Punjab Assembly Parliamentary Secretary, Sagheera Islam has asked the government to provide new vehicles to the secretaries to facilitate their hassle-free movement, as the old cars always remained out-of-order which hindered them from performing their duties

"The government can sell bullet-proof vehicles and buy us new cars. If this cannot be done, at least provide us mechanics," Islam told the House.

Provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah said that the secretaries were provided cars which were two to three years old, and often required mechanical attention.

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), Sheikh Allaudin, however, objected to the idea of buying new vehicles for the official, and said that the Senators should work and discuss issues regarding solving the number of problems that the people of the region are facing rather than spending money on their own luxury.

"The members have enough money and can buy vehicles on their own," The Daily times quoted Allaudin, as saying.

Speaker Rana Iqbal also opined that MPAs should discuss the problems faced by the people, and should give suggestions on how to address them. (ANI)
