Will use Pak nukes to fight US: Al-Qaeda
Dubai, Jun 22: In an interview with the al-Jazeera channel, a top leader of al-Qaeda said that if there was a possibility, the militant group would use Pakistan's nuclear weapons to fight against the United States.
"God willing, the nuclear weapons will not fall into the hands of the Americans and the mujahideen would take them and use them against the Americans," the leader of al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, Mustafa Abu al-Yazid said on Sunday. Jun 21.
On the militant group's plans, the leader said, "The strategy of the (al-Qaeda) organisation in the coming period is the same as in the previous period: to hit the head of the snake, the head of tyranny - the United States."
The leader went on to say that there would be a truce between the al-Qaeda and the Americans only if they stopped ravaging the Muslim countries for oil and power.
Speaking on Pakistan's offensive against the taliban in the North Western Frontier Province (NWFP), the leader said that they expected the army to be defeated in Swat and elsewhere.
